People of Belarus need your help in their fight for democracy and independence. They have been oppressed by the dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko for more then 12 years. During his long rule he created a police state where everybody is living in constant fear. Thousands of people who opposed him were imprisoned and some opposition leaders were killed. Lukashenko changed the constitution of the country twice in order to have unlimited power over the people of Belarus and rule them forever. Being imposed on our country by imperial Russia he is following Kremlin’s orders to destroy Belarusian culture and Belarusian state. All Belarusian national symbols where prohibited including the flag and the emblem of the state. The same happened to Belarusian language. |

It is designed to demonstrate all the absurdity and danger of Lukashenka's demands to put internet under strict control in Belarus. On this day nearly 40 websites supporting the project demonstrated special banners leading web visitors to the LuNet – the future of internet as seen by Lukashenka. In particular to his search website Lundex, video portal LuTube, and LuJournal blogs. |

Because of the Government's desire to censor Internet sources a lot of problems in activities of independent Belarusian political organizations will arise. Belarusian Youth Movement ( www.belmov.org) and Third Way Internet Community (3dway.org) would like to announce that their programs of support of the independent Internet resources in Belarus continue. In circumstances of increasing pressure we united our efforts under Manifesto "Together to Victory". We will assist and support public and political projects running in Belarus. |

Belarusian Internet is going to face hard times as the “hands” of the government reached this last particle of freedom. “Anarchy in Internet should be stopped”, - stated the Belarusian dictator when meeting with “his” reporters in “Sovetskaya Belarus” editorial office. He also mentioned that none of the Belarusian governmental sites represented in Internet have the audience more than 5,000 users. Lukashenka also complained that Internet became “the speaking-trumpet of not even the opposition but of enemy voices and countries”. The Belarusian television started the series of TV reports about Internet. |

Precisely a year ago the initial idea of creating an alternative official website for the town of Maladechna appeared. There were many different ideas with lots of preparation and desire to create a space on the internet without Belarusan government's censorship in political, ideological, and other fields. But the desire to create a website mostly in native Belarusan tongue outweighed. |
