Friends of the Belarusan Youth Movement take an active part in restoration of the St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral, which is located in Brooklyn on Atlantic Avenue. Almost every Saturday the movement activists help repairing the building of the Cathedral. Last Saturday, on May 16th, despite all the difficulties, the friends of Belarusan Youth Movement of America together with other parishioners finished the concreting of the floor in the basement, where a new Belarusan Museum will be opened. |

On June 3rd Belarusan Museum of New York opened a personal exhibition of a famous Belarusan artist Mikola Kupava in the public hall of St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral. The leader of the Belarusan Popular Front Zianon Pazniak and leader of Belarusan Institute of Science and Art Vitaut Kipel spoke to the visitors of the exhibition. They spoke about history of art development both in Belarus and in Belarusan Diasporas abroad, greeted the artist upon the opening of his exhibition, and presented gifts to the artist. After the latter ceremonies, the artist took a lead in presenting his artwork. Mikalay Saganovich officially presented the gift to the artist on behalf of the Belarusan immigrants. The official opening procedure was completed by Siarzhyk Sokalay-Vojush, who in his turn also greeted the artist and sang the song of Belarusan rebirth. |

The event took place in the assembly hall of the St. Cyril of Turau Cathedral, Brooklyn, NY. DJ GOR prepared a special holiday program that included his new trance set. |

On March 25, 2006, prospective members of the BYMA - Belarusan Youth Movement of America - independently organized their first protest. The rally took place across the street from the United Nations Headquarters in New York City and was organized in support of individuals and organizations which fight for freedom in Belarus. Anton Shukeloc, the head and the founder of the Belarusian-American Association, joined the demonstration to express his solidarity. |

About 40 people came to participate in that action from different parts of USA such as New York, New Jersey, Maine, Connecticut.
