In spite of having sometimes different visions of the situation in our country and different political views, the participants found common values and strategic aims. Besides, they laid down a specific plan of actions in the sphere of information work, protection of interests of Belarusian democratic forces and promoting of Belarusian culture in their countries. On the basis of coordinated position on the future of Belarus, of perspective directions of joint work, they made a declaration to sum up the results of the congress. During personal informal meetings the participants could take a closer look at each other, discussed the possibilities of the joint work and mutual aid. They emphasized that there is a need of more coordination and effectiveness of work of the Diaspora in Baltic countries, Scandinavia and the USA.

The congress participants had some useful meetings with Vice Speaker of Estonian Parliament. Kristiina Ojuland, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Estonia Mr. Paet, representatives of the Estonian deputy body, citizens, journalists and intellectuals. They were discussing the situation in Belarus, the role of the Diaspora in the process of democratization of the country and also what Estonia could do to help in this. There were meeting with accredited in Estonia diplomats of USA and Sweden. The participants of the congress informed them about the real situation in Belarus and measures, which could draw near democratic changes.

The participants of the congress decided to make the congress constant and annual, and also to create a net of cooperation among them.
