It’s a great date for us! The most curious friends of the project piled up a lot of questions. HOW did it all start? Few people can recall how it all started. We remember the winter of 2007/ it all began with an idea and then our free will put us on the right track, soon we saw a banner “Make your own Belarusian site!” following the link we opened the webpage of the Belarusian Youth Movement of America. It’s a website of those Belarusians who immigrate to America or were born there. They are true patriots and help Belarus whenever they have a chance. They have made their choice and by buying web hosting and domains they support those who desire to create Belarusian sites.
Thus we contacted them and shared our ideas. The American Belarusians agreed to help us and gave us a domain and web hosting we are still using up to now.
As it has turned out it was the easiest step towards the creation of our portal. It took a lot of time to fill the portal with useful and practical information, historical facts, photos, etc. How many sleepless nights did we spend to launch our online resource? Our tiredness vanished when we saw the result of our common efforts. The team launched more or less active portal in the summer of 2007. Although our page appeared in March without any advertising it was visited by the team and our friends only. But gradually the portal was getting more popular! It should be noted that not everything was done instantly and perfect. We can say at the moment the portal is being changed and developed by means of its online guests.
We have to follow the development of Internet technology, that’s why the appearance of the portal is periodically changed. WHO are our visitors? First, there were 3 people in twenty-four hours. In two years the number of visitors stepped over 60 in twenty-four hours (not every day though). In average there are 35 visitors on the portal daily. It is an achievement but we won’t stop here. We are trying to draw the attention of a bigger auditorium, our portal is not the only one in Smalyavichy, but we are the most popular project so far!! We won’t step aside and count on your support!
Recently online visitors from more than 103 cities of 30 countries of the world went to our website!!!
